Carl Bloom, President
Carl Bloom has over 45 years of direct marketing experience that includes work in all types of media. He has held positions as Director of Membership at Public TV Station WNET/Channel 13 in New York, Circulation Manager of Redbook and McCall’s Magazines, Direct Marketing Manager of Crowell, Collier & Macmillan’s Home Study Schools and Vice President of Marketing at National Journal in Washington, D.C. Carl held the position of Adjunct Professor of Direct Marketing at Baruch College in New York City, has written many articles for publications in the direct marketing field and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events.

Brooke Grossman Coneys, Vice President/General Manager
Brooke Coneys has been with CBA for 28 years and has worked on every aspect of direct marketing campaigns, including list selection, database marketing, production supervision, income and response analysis, and creative and marketing plans. Her account experience includes many of the finest nonprofit cultural and social cause organizations, among them more than a dozen public broadcasting stations, including KQED/San Francisco, as well as The Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish® Foundation, AARP, Carnegie Hall, American Ballet Theater and The Museum of Modern Art.

Robert Bloom, Vice President, Creative & Electronic Marketing
Rob is responsible for much of the conceptualization and creativity in all media that flows from CBA. He has been responsible for customized creative print materials such as direct mail, catalogs, advertisements, business-to-business and business-to-consumer sales kits and collateral materials for over 30 public broadcasting stations, public libraries, healthcare organizations, environmental and animal rights groups, religious organizations, museums, continuing education and magazines, including National Geographic among others. Rob is also responsible for developing many new products and initiatives at CBA. He leads CBA’s electronic marketing division, developing the new media efforts of CBA. He manages the development of web sites and integrated email marketing campaigns. In addition, he serves as account manager for several public broadcasting stations as well as many of CBA’s diverse clients.

Carrie Bloom, Vice President, Client Services
Carrie has over 18 years of varied successful direct marketing experience in both nonprofit and commercial markets. In the commercial arena, Carrie has worked for major magazine publishing houses, such as Newsweek, The Hearst Corporation and Condé Nast in circulation management and promotion, and direct response book marketing. Carrie’s range of expertise also includes account management of non-profits, including numerous public TV stations across the country, The Nature Conservancy, Presbyterians Today and The Queens Borough Public Library. At CBA, Carrie is Account Director of CBA’s Direct Marketing Public Library Consortium, servicing a dozen libraries nationally. She has managed direct marketing for the United States Tennis Association and is responsible for general consultation in all areas of membership marketing.

Luke Vander Linden, Vice President, Integrated Marketing Services
Luke has over 17 years of direct marketing experience, many spent at Thirteen/WNET New York where he conceived and managed an award-winning online fundraising and promotions program. He also served as a Senior Account Manager at GetActive Software, now part of Convio. In these roles, he has managed many aspects of fundraising, outreach and constituent relationship management for many public broadcasting stations, including Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network and WNED among others, the Brooklyn Young Republican Club, The Hundred Year Association of New York, Catholic Charities CYO of San Francisco, Our Lady of Angels Roman Catholic Community, Clare (Ireland) County Council, Save the Children, Oxfam, North Shore Animal League, The Cliffs of Moher, and Environmental Defense. Luke is a lecturer on integrated marketing at New York University’s School of Philanthropy.

Deniz Isler, Director of Strategy & Planning
Deniz has over 10 years experience in a variety of companies and organizations that have utilized her strong analytical skills. Coming to us by way of Turkey, Deniz excelled in business administration and held key roles in a number of Turkish financial institutions. Her experience, coupled with a Masters Degree in Direct Marketing, have made her an asset in statistical reporting, database marketing and list research and analysis. Deniz is also Account Executive to CBA clients such as National Association of Railroad Passengers , Friends of Animals and has handled database marketing for The Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish® Foundation, Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, among others. A trained choir Soprano and a skilled scuba diver, Deniz has a lot of depth and delivers on a high note for CBA clients.

Mike Jacobson, Creative Director
Mike brings a wealth of experience to CBA, coming to us from the Infogroup Nonprofit agency, where he was Copy Supervisor. There he was responsible for all copy (direct mail and e-mail) for Infogroup’s roster of non-profit clients, including The American Heart Association, North Shore Animal League America, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Children’s National Medical Center, Texas Children’s Hospital, The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, and many others.
Mike has also been active on the commercial side as Creative Director at Grolier Direct Marketing, Copy Supervisor at Publishers Clearing House, Sr. Copywriter at Columbia House, and in agencies including Stone & Adler, Hahn Crane, and The MDI Group. He has contributed to establishing new breakthrough direct mail controls for many clients, and since the mid-‘90s has been involved with the creation of e-mail and online advertising.
In his past positions, Mike has been responsible for hiring, training and managing in-house and freelance creative staff, as well as developing and managing work flows and procedures.
In addition to a long, productive career on the creative side of direct marketing, Mike has taught direct marketing at Norwalk Community College, and for several years served as a judge of the DMA’s Echo Awards.
Since joining CBA, Mike has been creating direct mail and e-mail for our Public Broadcasting clients and CBA’s other clients. He guides the creative output of our agency, and has streamlined the creative process, saving time and maximizing productivity. With his extensive experience in all areas of direct marketing, Mike is a valuable addition to our staff and an added resource to better serve our clients.

Britt Rosenbaum, Art Director/Studio Manager
Britt has over 15 years of experience in advertising, direct mail, printed collateral materials and electronic media. Prior to joining the CBA team, Britt spent over 5 years at Beekman Marketing, creating and overseeing all aspects of design from initial concept stages to final production. Britt has created successful campaigns for many prestigious institutions, including: Sotheby’s, Whitney Museum of American Art, The Frick Collection, The New York Botanical Garden, Polytechnic University and Columbia University’s College Fund. An interesting combination of designer and efficiency pro, Britt designs and manages the steady flow of creative materials for the full gamut of CBA clients.

Carmen Oliveras, Production Director
Carmen has more than 28 years of production experience in the nonprofit world. In the seven years Carmen Oliveras has been with CBA, she has transformed the company’s production capabilities, producing and mailing more than 125 different PTV, library consortium, nonprofit and promotional sweepstakes packages per year, Carmen and her staff are highly professional, cost-conscious, and detail-oriented. Previous to CBA, Carmen worked for 21 years at CARE-USA, where she oversaw direct mail printing and production, and ran an international purchasing cooperative for CARE’s overseas programs.

Yalexa Corchado, Assistant Production Manager/Traffic Manager
As Consumer Service Representative at Interomni, a computer service bureau, printer and lettershop, Yalexa honed her skills in production and trafficking. At CBA, she coordinates projects between clients and the different creative, account and production departments — writing instructions and schedules for computer managers, lettershop operators, etc. She is CBA’s highly organized Traffic Manager and Assistant Production Manager who keeps materials flowing through and from CBA the creative departments and our clients. You’ve got to “get it done, because Yalexa is waiting to move the job along.”

Theresa Jahn, Graphic Designer
Theresa has over 11 years of experience in graphic design, in both print and electronic materials. Prior to joining CBA, she worked in the the financial services industry at Gruntal & Co., Ryan Beck & Co., and Stifel Nicholaus, where she designed everything from direct mail to logos, brochures, and promotional materials. With added illustration and web design skills, she brings a unique combination of creative and technical to the CBA team.
